Applications for the year 2024 can be submitted to the above-mentioned foundations between 22 September and 13 October 2023

Leibniz ScienceCampus ‘Europe and America in the Modern World’:
The Leibniz ScienceCampus Europe and America is funded by the Leibniz Association to promote collaboration between IOS and the University of Regensburg. It brings together various centres and institutions working in area studies across the disciplines to develop innovative, interdisciplinary research. The project also contributes to the internationalisation of research and teaching in Regensburg through support for a network of international partnerships with institutions across Europe and America.

Funding for International Conferences
The ScienceCampus invites applications from the research community in Regensburg - at IOS and the partner institutions at UR - to apply for funding to attend international conferences. Applications from doctoral researchers will be given priority.

Fellowship Programme
The ScienceCampus offers outgoing visiting fellowships to postdoctoral researchers, faculty members (PD, Akad. Rat/Rätin, etc.) and professors based at IOS and UR to travel to our international partners. The ScienceCampus offers financial support towards travel costs, accommodation and related fees for stays of two weeks to two months at our partners.
