Prof Dr Timothy Nunan (UR) and Dr Vlad Strukov (University of Leeds) have been awarded a project funded by the DFG and UK Research and Innovation's Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) on ‘Transitions: Examining Changing Regimes of Sexuality in Post-Soviet Muslim Republics’. The Regensburg interdisciplinary research cluster on corruption in Southeast Europe (DFG joint project) with the participation of Prof Dr Klaus Buchenau will continue its work for a further three years. The press release can be found here.
Prof. Dr Timothy Nunan (DIMAS) and Prof. Dr Ulf Brunnbauer (IOS) have received a grant of €20,000 from the Gerda and Hermann Weber Foundation to organise a Hermann Weber conference on historical communism research. The conference will take place in 2027 and will be dedicated to the topic ‘Communist regimes and the world economy since the 1970s’.

Programme for the promotion of young academics at the Faculty of Philosophy, Arts, History and Social Sciences
At its meeting on 8 May 2024, the Faculty Council of the Faculty of Philosophy, Arts, History and Social Sciences approved a programme for the promotion of early career researchers at the faculty using faculty funds from the DFG programme lump sum. The aim of the programme is to promote the mobility of early career researchers by subsidising active conference participation. Further information can be found in the information sheet here.

PUR - Doctoral Programme of the Faculties of Arts and Humanities
The doctoral college serves to optimise doctoral studies at the Faculties of Philosophy at the University of Regensburg.
