Prof. Dr. Leitner at “Modellierung 2026”
“Modellierung 2026” (https://www.modellierung-2026.uni-bayreuth.de/de/index.html) took place from March 9 to 12, 2026, at the University of Bayreuth and served as the main academic conference for the modeling community of the German Informatics Society.
The event focused on the fundamentals, methods, tools, and applications of modeling in computer science.
As part of the “Modellierung 2026” conference in Bayreuth, a presentation titled “Strategies for Mining Processes in Manufacturing Execution Systems Data” was given by Daniel Kovacic, Kristof Böhmer, Samuel Hilbrand, Alexander Topf, and Maria Leitner. Prof. Dr. Leitner also participated in the panel discussion titled “Humanity’s Last Modeling Exam,” moderated by Prof. Dr. Hans-Georg Fill.
As co-chairs of the Doctoral Consortium, Prof. Dr. Maria Leitner and Prof. Dr. Peter Fettke organized a high-profile panel discussion on the topic “Ask Us Anything: Everything You’ve Always Wanted to Know About the Academic World.”
The session offered an open look behind the scenes of the academic world and addressed personal experiences, responsibilities, challenges, and career paths in academia and industry. It was aimed specifically at doctoral students and postdocs.
