04 May 2026, by Philipp Besendorfer

Since 1 May 2026, Philipp Besendorfer has been supported through the Marianne Plehn Programme, which combines a doctoral scholarship from the German Academic Scholarship Foundation with a research position within the Elite Network of Bavaria.

His research centres on the assessment of the health benefits generated by algorithms in the healthcare sector—an area of growing significance in light of the increasing adoption of data‑driven methodologies in medicine, particularly in the context of personalised medicine.

His doctoral supervision is provided by Prof. Dr. Thomas Jaki.
