Jayesh Santosh Tawade presented a poster titled "Multiple Human Robot Collaboration with AURA Sharing" at the 8th International Workshop on Robotics Software Engineering (RoSE 2026), held on June 1, 2026 in Vienna, Austria, and co located with the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) 2026.
The contribution presents AURA Sharing, an extension of the chair's ongoing AURA (Awareness of Uncertainty in Robot Actions) research direction. While the original AURA framework models a robot's spatial influence as a continuous, actor based proximity field derived from perception and internal state estimation, AURA Sharing addresses scenarios involving multiple collaborating robots. Each robot's field is split into an inner, always private safety boundary and an outer, task dependent zone that can be shared according to the collaboration mode in use: coexistence, cooperation, or collaboration. This mode aware mechanism allows robots to interpret proximity based on interaction intent rather than distance alone, and to feed detected intrusions directly into reactive motion replanning.
The work offered an opportunity to share early results and ideas from the chair's collaborative robotics research with the international robotics community
