Awesome news! Our paper, HyDeclare, by Dr. Leo Poss and Prof. Dr. Stefan Schönig, introduces a graphical modeling notation for hybrid declarative process specifications and has been accepted to ICSOC 2026 (Łódź, Poland, Dec 1–4), ranked A in CORE 2026.
The work addresses a real gap: declarative process models like Declare are great for flexible, knowledge-intensive processes, but they can't natively express constraints over continuous sensor data—think "if reactor temperature stays above 80°C for 10 seconds, cooling must start within 5." HyDeclare extends Declare with five new visual constructs (signal nodes, predicate ports, junctions, duration badges, and cardinality tags) that let designers author these hybrid constraints graphically instead of hand-writing Signal Temporal Logic formulae. It includes formal semantics, two short cyber-physical case studies, and a working browser-based editor that compiles models directly into deployable CEP rules.
Looking forward to presenting it in Łódź this December.
