The Faculty of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures (SLK) at the University of Regensburg sees itself as an internationally visible centre for linguistic, literary and cultural studies that contributes to the critical examination of global dynamics through inter- and transdisciplinary research and teaching. It endeavours to research and communicate cultural diversity, multilingualism and cultures of remembrance as the key to shaping an open, networked and sustainable society. The faculty consists of 42 professorships at six institutes with more than 4,500 students.
