Financial support options
Financial support through scholarships and the financial incentive system:
- Scholarships from the Bavarian Programme for the Realisation of Equal Opportunities for Women in Research and Teaching:
Doctoral degree scholarships, postdoctoral scholarships and habilitation scholarships. Applications are submitted to the equal opportunities officer at the specified time (usually one application deadline per year); the equal opportunities officer writes a statement and decides on the faculty-internal ranking of the applications as chairperson with a faculty-internal scholarship award committee. The final decision on the awarding of scholarships lies with the University Women's Representatives.
More detailed information and the current dates can be found here. - Financial Incentive Scheme for the Promotion of Gender Equality (FAS) at the University of Regensburg:
University management funds can be used to individually support female academics and young female academics at the university within the scope of their qualifications: for example through travel allowances, printing cost subsidies, the purchase of literature, SHK positions, funding for guest lectures, etc.
Further information can be found here.
These funds are allocated on a decentralised basis by the equal opportunities officer.

Gender-appropriate language
Equality begins with addressing people as equals. This is particularly important in a language like German, which always indicates gender.
Here you will find a handout on the topic of gender-appropriate language:
