Our mission is to open up the linguistic, literary and cultural dimensions of a globalised world through excellent research and innovative teaching. We promote interdisciplinary cooperation, international networking and the transfer of scientific knowledge to society. We focus on:
- Area studies to analyse transnational interdependencies,
- Multilingualism research as a paradigm of the globalised world,
- Memory studies to critically reflect on collective memory.
