Prof. em. Dr Michael Dowling

Prof Dr Michael Dowling held the Chair of Innovation and Technology Management at the University of Regensburg from 1996 to 2024.

Professor Dowling was born in New York, USA, in 1958. He studied at the University of Texas at Austin (Bachelor of Arts), at Harvard University (Master of Science) and at the University of Texas at Austin (Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration). After completing his doctorate, Professor Dowling was Assistant Professor at the University of Georgia, USA, from 1988 to 1994, where he was promoted to Associate Professor in 1995. In the summer semester of 1990, he was a visiting academic at the Institute of Organisation at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich under Prof. Dr. Eberhard Witte and in the summer semester of 1994 at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg at the Chair of Business Administration under Prof. Dr. Steinmann.
