George Kiraz: The Suryānī Presence in the Holy Land Since the Early Modern Period

The talk will give an overview of Suryānī religious and social life in the Holy Land from the Early Modern Period until the present day. The talk will touch upon the roll they play in the Holy Places as one of the main six communities with respect to the status quo, the importance of their manuscript collection, and a brief description of their post-modern social fabric.
