Ukrainian-Bavarian Conference on Digital Education, on-site in Bayreuth and online as a stream

BAYHOST and the Center for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (FBZHL) at the University of Bayreuth are organizing the "Ukrainian-Bavarian Conference on Digital Education" from June 23-24, 2022, on-site in Bayreuth and online as a stream. Knowledge. Research and Innovation: Ukrainian scientists present their research topics

Since the beginning of the Russian attack on Ukraine, many scientists have had to leave their country. Some of them can continue their research work here in Germany. In order to find out what topics Ukrainian academics are working on and to put them in touch with colleagues here, five researchers from Ukraine are presenting their current topics.
The presentations will take place online via Zoom. The EUROPAEUM (East-West Centre of the University of Regensburg) and BAYHOST would be pleased to welcome you. Further Information

As part of the Taras Shevchenko Program, BAYHOST offers German summer courses for prospective students and students from Ukraine. Students and high school graduates from Ukraine with German knowledge of at least level A2 are eligible to apply. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis, as long as there are capacities for scholarships. Further information

BAYHOST organizes as part of the Taras Shevchenko Program a coordination office for Ukraine, which bundles support and assistance offers for Ukrainian students and scientists and is available to them as a contact point. Further information

BAYHOST expresses solidarity with Ukraine

BAYHOST expresses solidarity with its partner organizations in science and higher education, grant holders and alumni from Ukraine and condems the Russian attack against Ukraine.
The attack against Ukraine damages the fruitful and friendly cooperation with partner organizations both in Ukraine and Russia that has been growing for many years.
Our thoughts are with the Ukrainian scientists, students, alumni and their families.
BAYHOST will support students exchange and academic cooperation with Ukraine even more strongly in the future.

Research sojourn of students and early-stage researchers

Advanced students and early-stage researchers from Eastern Europe or Bavaria have the possibility to apply – in cooperation with an academic supervisor from a Bavarian university – for mobility grants for a research sojourn in Bavaria or Eastern Europe. Funding programs for Bavaria and the Czech Republic

The Bavarian-Czech Academic Agency is affiliated with the Bavarian Academic Center for Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe (BAYHOST) as its own department and acts as the central point of contact for all aspects of bilateral cooperation between Bavaria and the Czechia in the field of higher education and science.
The funding of BTHA encompasses grants for study abroad programs, language courses, summer and winter schools in both countries as well as mobility grants for internships, research travels and excursions; moreover it focuses on support of bilateral academic projects and conferences in Bavaria and the Czech Republic.  Further information about BTHA
