MedTech Workshop

The BAYHOST MedTech workshop aims at initiating scientific cooperation in medicine, medical technology, artificial intelligence in medicine, and health sciences. The workshop focuses on cooperation of Bavarian universities and universities of applied sciences with partners in Croatia, Poland, Czechia and other countries. Please register by 15 June 2024 at the latest.

follow-up to the Ukrainian-Bavarian Conference

BAYHOST is organizing an online follow-up to the conference on Ukrainian-Bavarian Double Degree Programs 2023 on three dates in April and May.
The follow-up is divided into three thematic sections:

• "Economic and Legal Sciences" - Tuesday, April 30, 2024
• "Humanities and Social Sciences" - Monday, May 13, 2024
• "Technical and Natural Sciences" - on Tuesday, May 14, 2024

Participants of last year's conference and new participants are warmly invited.

NACHT.SCHAFFT.WISSEN

As part of the event Nacht.Schafft.Wissen on April 19, 2024, the Leibniz Institute for East and Southeast European Studies (IOS), together with several institutions of the University of Regensburg, will present some of the current projects on Ukraine and the rest of the world and offer a varied program for young and old.

Study visit & summer school grants sponsored by the partner states of the Free State of Bavaria

Students and early-stage researchers currently enrolled at Bavarian universities, technical colleges and art schools can apply for scholarships from our partner countries for study stays and grants for summer language courses in Eastern Europe. Please note the various application deadlines.

Research sojourn of students and early-stage researchers

Advanced students and early-stage researchers from Eastern Europe or Bavaria have the possibility to apply – in cooperation with an academic supervisor from a Bavarian university – for mobility grants for a research sojourn in Bavaria or Eastern Europe. Internships in Eastern Europe

BAYHOST offers to students of Bavarian universities the possibility to apply for flexible internship grants in order to facilitate internships and gain experience in Eastern Europe.

Funding programs for Bavaria and the Czech Republic

The Bavarian-Czech Academic Agency is affiliated with the Bavarian Academic Center for Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe (BAYHOST) as its own department and acts as the central point of contact for all aspects of bilateral cooperation between Bavaria and the Czechia in the field of higher education and science.
The funding of BTHA encompasses grants for study abroad programs, language courses, summer and winter schools in both countries as well as mobility grants for internships, research travels and excursions; moreover it focuses on support of bilateral academic projects and conferences in Bavaria and the Czech Republic.  Further information about BTHA

Nikolas Djukić, Executive Director of the Bavarian Academic Centre for Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe, gave a presentation to representatives of the academic community at the South East European Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (SEECEL) on Wednesday, 11 October.
During the meeting, the participants exchanged information on potential new ways of cooperation, primarily regarding the organization of interdisciplinary and international summer schools, stronger networking aimed at the development of scientific and research projects and strengthening academic mobility. BAYHOST expresses solidarity with Ukraine

BAYHOST expresses solidarity with its partner organizations in science and higher education, grant holders and alumni from Ukraine and condems the Russian attack against Ukraine.
The attack against Ukraine damages the fruitful and friendly cooperation with partner organizations both in Ukraine and Russia that has been growing for many years.
Our thoughts are with the Ukrainian scientists, students, alumni and their families.
BAYHOST will support students exchange and academic cooperation with Ukraine even more strongly in the future.
