CAIDAS (Center for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science) at Julius-Maximilians-Universität of Würzburg (JMU) and BAYHOST invite you to a Workshop on AI for Software Engineering from 30 September to 1 October 2024 in Würzburg.
The workshop is a follow-up event of the delegation visit of Bavarian universities to Poland in 2023.
It brings together researchers from computer science and related disciplines in order to discuss how artificial intelligence can facilitate a better use and understanding of software processes.
Three main areas will be addressed:

Considering the increased German-Ukrainian cooperation in the academic field, BAYHOST is offering intercultural training for the first time to Ukrainian employees and partners of Bavarian universities.
The purpose is to reflect on German cultural standards with them and thus promote further collaboration. The competence acquired in the training will also benefit the German colleagues, as it will help better manage critical interaction situations.
The training does not require prior knowledge in social sciences or regional studies.
The language of instruction is English.

BAYHOST, the Research Centre German Language in Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe (FZ DiMOS), the Chair of Slavic Philology - Linguistics at the Institute of Slavic Studies at the University of Regensburg and Andrássy University Budapest (AUB) are organizing a hybrid workshop on cooperation with Ukraine in the humanities from 24-25 October in Budapest.
The event intends to contribute to the development and deepening of cooperation with Ukraine in the humanities, specifically with Ukrainian universities that have been particularly hard hit by the war. The workshop will focus on topics such as multilingualism, digital humanities, & digital education and is aimed at interested lecturers and researchers in Bavaria, Ukraine, Hungary, and neighboring countries.

The BAYHOST MedTech workshop aims at initiating scientific cooperation in medicine, medical technology, artificial intelligence in medicine, and health sciences. The workshop focuses on cooperation of Bavarian universities and universities of applied sciences with partners in Croatia, Poland, Czechia and other countries.

The Bavarian-Czech Academic Agency is affiliated with the Bavarian Academic Center for Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe (BAYHOST) as its own department and acts as the central point of contact for all aspects of bilateral cooperation between Bavaria and the Czechia in the field of higher education and science.
The funding of BTHA encompasses grants for study abroad programs, language courses, summer and winter schools in both countries as well as mobility grants for internships, research travels and excursions; moreover it focuses on support of bilateral academic projects and conferences in Bavaria and the Czech Republic. Nikolas Djukić, Executive Director of the Bavarian Academic Centre for Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe, gave a presentation to representatives of the academic community at the South East European Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (SEECEL) on Wednesday, 11 October.
During the meeting, the participants exchanged information on potential new ways of cooperation, primarily regarding the organization of interdisciplinary and international summer schools, stronger networking aimed at the development of scientific and research projects and strengthening academic mobility. BAYHOST expresses solidarity with its partner organizations in science and higher education, grant holders and alumni from Ukraine and condems the Russian attack against Ukraine.
The attack against Ukraine damages the fruitful and friendly cooperation with partner organizations both in Ukraine and Russia that has been growing for many years.
Our thoughts are with the Ukrainian scientists, students, alumni and their families.
BAYHOST will support students exchange and academic cooperation with Ukraine even more strongly in the future.
