URquality

In the university agreement with the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and Art (StMUK) of 21 September 2023, the University of Regensburg set itself the goal of empirically investigating the conditions for successful graduation at the UR. In particular, the effectiveness of university teaching and the measures agreed as part of degree programme evaluations are to be examined. The URquality project will implement this plan until the end of 2027.

In order to obtain a comprehensive picture of the teaching and learning conditions, various existing data sources on studying and teaching will be used, including examination results and information on study progression. In addition, an online survey will be used to collect further data on individual student characteristics that have already been shown in other studies to have an influence on academic success. For example, the stress experienced due to studying, a part-time job or care work, the perception of the quality of the courses on offer, the use of learning strategies or motivation for studying.

The results of the project enable a data-based discussion in accreditation procedures, the further development of teaching and the identification of specific measures to improve study conditions.
