Dr Mario Frei has been a research associate at the Chair of Educational Data Science at the University of Regensburg since 2023. His research focuses on the explanatory skills of teachers, subject-specific teaching quality, the professional knowledge of teachers and the use of machine learning in empirical educational research. He previously completed his doctorate in music education at the University of Augsburg and worked for several years as an assistant professor at the Chair of Music Education and Music Didactics at the University of Regensburg.
