Admission thesis
Legal framework
Section 29 of the Lehramtsprüfungsordnung I (LPO I) describes the requirements for the written assignment ("Zulassungsarbeit"):
- The written term paper is to be completed in the special education subject area studied in depth.
- The topic is chosen at the latest one year before registration for the examination, so that at least 6 months of work time is available.
- The submission takes place before registration for the first state examination (deadlines: 1 February or 1 August of the year).
- The topic is chosen from the relevant fields of study.
- Each student works on his/her own topic (it is not possible for two or more candidates to write the term paper together).
- The ability to carry out independent academic work must be recognisable. This includes recognising and indicating passages in the work that are taken from other works in terms of wording or meaning.
- The term paper must be written in German, unless the Examination Office authorises otherwise in advance.
- At the end of the assignment, the candidate must submit a declaration of independent completion (see Section 29 (6))
- The candidate will receive a certificate from the examiner confirming the submission of the assignment, which must be enclosed with the registration for the examination. The work is assessed by the authorised examiner (expert opinion).
- A written assignment graded at least "sufficient" is proof of 10 credit points (see § 22 para. 2).
First steps
(based on the Standard Period of Study; otherwise, the dates are accordingly 1 or 2 semesters later)
- from the 6th semester onwards: study the supervisor's research focus
- End of 6th semester: central information event organised by the chair on the admission thesis
- 7. and 8th semester: the courses on research-based learning (module G90-III-M01) can help you find a topic
- from the 7th semester: contact with a suggested topic
- Confirmation of supervision for a specific submission deadline
- Familiarise yourself with the legal framework (LPO, see above) and the requirements for written work at the chair (e.g. citation according to DGPs or APA)
The module examination G90-I-M02 must be passed when contact is made.

FöDiSUR
Support - Diagnostics - Special needs education- University of Regensburg
FöDiSUR is a cross-disciplinary organisation of the four chairs of special education at the University of Regensburg. FöDiSUR supports the teaching of all chairs and bundles research and work initiatives in the field of diagnostics and support. The various materials can be used by all students on the special needs teacher training programs.
Concept
The FöDiSUR area is an educational space in which students work constructively and reconstructively with diagnostic and support materials, both in a guided manner as part of courses and in an autodidactic form. In conceptual terms, the working principle of "research-based learning" is followed. The individual examination of the diagnostic and support materials enables students to experience their potential added value for themselves in order to be able to work with them in a targeted manner with pupils as part of their practical school studies.
Opening hours
The use of the FöDiSUR area is characterised by personal responsibility, flexibility and demand orientation.
It is located in Sedanstraße and is open during the lecture period on Tuesdays from 4:15-5:15 pm and Thursdays from 2 to 3 pm (Theresa Meusel, theresa.meusel(at)stud.uni-regensburg.de) (opens your email program) as well as on demand. Appropriate access to the materials can be made possible after consultation.

Test library
Testing and observation procedures play an important role in special education. They are used, among other things, to formally determine the special educational needs or support needs of pupils as part of a special educational assessment or support diagnostic report. In addition, diagnostic information collected via testing and observation procedures is an important basis for planning diagnosis-led support as part of a support plan.
Accordingly, the topic of 'diagnostics and test procedures' plays an important role in the study of pedagogy for intellectual disabilities. Test procedures for teaching and research in the field of pedagogy with intellectual disabilities are available in the Testothek, which is affiliated to the University Library of the UR. The contact person for questions about the Testothek is Liane Schreiber at our chair.
Distribution of protocol sheets (diagnostic report) during the lecture period on Thursdays, 12 - 1 pm (Friederike Domke, Friederike-Luise.Domke(at)stud.uni-regensburg.de (opens your email program) and Federica La Pegna, federica.la-pegna@stud.uni-regensburg.de), room 128
