Study media informatics

Welcome to the media informatics degree programs (Bachelor/Master) at the University of Regensburg.

Media informatics is an applied computer science program that primarily deals with the interaction between humans and computers and the technical properties of media.

In the Bachelor's degree program in Media Informatics, you combine media informatics with one or more other subjects, e.g. information science, media studies, mathematics, history, ..

In this degree program, you will learn how to develop software (and hardware) that people enjoy using. Program content includes: Programming (desktop, smartphone, web), media technologies, human-computer interaction, computer graphics, game development, data analysis, artificial intelligence and many other specialisations.

You will need solid computer science skills for the Master's in Media Informatics. In several larger projects, you will learn to carry out technically and organisationally complex software projects and deepen your expertise in the areas of human-computer interaction, games engineering or digital humanities.
