International

Education extends beyond the confines of the lecture theatre. It encompasses the rich diversity of cultures, ideas and perspectives that the world has to offer. Our efforts towards internationalisation lay the foundations for students to succeed in a globally interconnected economy. Whether you’re studying abroad or attending a lecture given by a visiting professor, our extensive network and partnerships enable students to gain new insights and accumulate valuable experience.

Experience abroad whilst studying law

We recommend that all students spend an academic year or a semester studying at a law faculty abroad. The University of Regensburg, together with its partners, currently offers 100 study abroad places around the globe.

LL.M. Abroad / USA / UC Hastings Partnership

The Faculty of Law at the University of Regensburg is committed to providing a modern and, as such, distinctly internationally oriented education. It aims to support its students – even beyond the ERASMUS programme – in furthering their legal studies abroad or carrying out their own research projects abroad. The Faculty places particular emphasis on exchanges with the USA and maintains an extensive exchange partnership with UC Hastings (San Francisco).

LL.M. in German Law and Comparative Law in Regensburg for lawyers who graduated abroad

The Faculty offers two degree programmes for lawyers who have graduated abroad, both of which lead to an LL.M. qualification after one year. These programmes are designed to provide an overview of the German legal system and enable a comparison with the law of the student’s home country, thereby enhancing career prospects in their home country or serving as a foundation for a PhD at our Faculty.
