Faculty of Physics

The Faculty of Physics at the University of Regensburg has 28 professors working in research and teaching groups. We specialise in the physics of condensed matter with a particular focus on nanostructures (theoretical and experimental) and high-energy physics with a focus on the theory of lattice quantum chromodynamics. Our scientific reputation manifests itself in a Cluster of Excellence, a Collaborative Research Centre, a Research Training Group and a Research Group of the German Research Foundation.

A good 1000 students are enrolled on our degree programmes and receive intensive support:
