As part of the essay-competition „Sophie Scholl an the White Rose“ BAYHOST provides additional scholarships for students and PhD-students from Ukraine. The scholarship amounts 861,- Euro per month for study visits in Bavaria in the winter term 2021/22 or the summer term 2022.

The Free State of Bavaria will sponsor scholarships for the academic year 2021/22. Graduates from Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine are eligible to apply. The scholarships are meant to finance postgraduate studies (i.e. master's programs), PhDs or one-year research sojourns at Bavarian universities. The one-year scholarship can be generally extended twice for up to 3 years. The scholarship is paid out monthly (853,- €) and amounts to 10.236,- € per year. Students with at least one child receive 1.013,- € per month, which amounts to 12.156,- € per year. Candidates should send their documents to the address specified in the important advice.
The objective of the annual scholarship program is to support scientific cooperation and academic exchange between Bavaria and Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe.

The selection process for the funding year 2021/22 is still ongoing and we will inform all applicants about the results in May 2021. The new call for application for the funding year 2022/23 is expected to be issued during the summer 2021.
