Master Thesis

Requirements

  • Successful master seminar (6 ETCS) at our chair (minimum grade 2,7 and better) and
  • If offered, simultaneous or prior participation in the "Colloquium" or if not offered a successful master's seminar at a business chair focusing on industrial management (minimum grade 2,7 and better)

 

Procedure

  1.  Registration for the master thesis in the examination office by the master student (forms are available on the homepage of the examination office)
  2. Please schedule a look on the list with current topics for the master thesis via mail to sigm@ur.de.
    The master student selects 2 subjects of the list and registers himself and the choice
    in the secretariat of the chair.
  3. Reflection period of 14 days (rough familiarisation in both selected topics)
  4. During the reflection period: Rough explanation of the topic by the supervisor of the chair)
  5. After the reflection period: Announcement of the final subject choice to the chair and if necessary a more detailed arrangement with the supervisor
  6. Registration of the master thesis in the examination office by the chair (process time: 180 days)

 Notes

  • An evidence about the fulfilment of the requirements (for example the transcript of records) must be shown on the day of the temporary subject choice (see procedure point 2) in the secretariat.
  • The fulfilment of the conditions is not the sole claim to write the master thesis at the chair of Prof. Helm: Amongst others enough capacities at the chair must exist.
