Area of responsibility:

• Equipment and fixture construction for research and teaching
• Machining of all materials commonly used in device construction by milling, turning, sawing, drilling as well as path and curve machining by CNC milling and turning
• Creating machine programmes (for Philips-Siemens with Heidenhain controls) using a computer programming station
• Processing of hard materials with cylindrical, surface and tool grinding machines
• Machining, forming and bonding of plastics
• Tig, spot and electric welding as well as hard and soft soldering
• Drawing creation using a CAD system
• Material warehouse with semi-finished steel and non-ferrous metal products, plastics in round and sheet material
• Standard parts such as screws, pins, etc.
• Measuring instruments and hand tools for common tasks in appliance construction
