Theoretical Ecology and Ecological Data Science

Welcome to our lab! The Professorship for Theoretical Ecology uses theory, computer simulations and statistics / data science to quantify patterns and unravel mechanisms ecology, evolution and conservation. We are particularly interested in understanding the mechanisms that govern species interactions, community assembly, and biodiversity patterns at all scales

Our research group is part of the section for organismal biology of the Faculty for Biology and Preclinical Medicine (external link, opens in a new window), as well as member of the Institute of Plant Sciences.
