We are delighted to announce that Dr. Melina de Souza Leite from our group has been selected for UR Potentials, the internal funding programme of the University of Regensburg for early-career researchers. She receives funding in Stage 1 of the programme; the certificates were handed over at a ceremony on 13 July 2026.
UR Potentials is designed to strengthen early scientific independence. Alongside financial support, it offers workshops and coaching, and it helps researchers to apply successfully for their own third-party funded projects and to build up their own research groups - an important step towards tenure-track positions. The programme is run by the WIN centre for early career researchers together with the research funding unit of the university administration, and has supported 21 researchers since its start in 2024.
