Bachelor's thesis
The bachelor's thesis is an academic paper in the fields of management & entrepreneurship, international management and strategic management. A corresponding course is offered in the summer semester. The bachelor's thesis is generally written over a period of 90 days. More detailed information on the course schedule can be found in the summer semester on the University of Regensburg's e-learning platform (G.R.I.P.S.) (external link, opens in a new window) under ‘Bachelor's Thesis Course’.
Information on registration and assignment for the bachelor's thesis can be found here (external link, opens in a new window). It is not possible to register directly with the chair.
- The topics for bachelor's theses are generally specified by the chair.
- Information on the formal regulations for bachelor's theses can be found in the examination regulations for the bachelor's programmes.
- Detailed information on the content and formal structure of a bachelor's thesis can be found in our thesis guidelines.
- Examples of previous bachelor's thesis topics can be found here.
- In principle, it is possible to write your bachelor's thesis from abroad. However, this is subject to the condition that you are able to attend the introductory event (in person). Please ensure this is the case at an early stage.
- Once you have been assigned to the chair, you will receive further information on the specific procedure, finding a topic and organisational deadlines.
Writing your bachelor's thesis in the winter semester
Please note: You can only work on your thesis in the winter semester if you have been assigned to our department via the central allocation procedure. Therefore, please only contact us about postponing your thesis after you have been assigned.
In justified exceptional cases, it is possible to write the bachelor's thesis in the winter semester. It is not possible to voluntarily postpone the bachelor's thesis to the winter semester. Recognised reasons include, for example:
- Internship (proof must be submitted)
- Semester abroad (proof must be submitted)
- Illness (e.g. planned hospital stay of longer duration)
- In the case of family-related issues (child, care of a relative), consultation with Prof. Veer is requested
If you do not achieve the ECTS credits required for the bachelor's thesis in the summer semester, you must still participate in the regular allocation of theses to the chairs.
Information on the procedure can be found here: https://www.uni-regensburg.de/wirtschaftswissenschaften/studieren/im-studium/weitere-studieninformationsseiten/bachelorarbeiten (external link, opens in a new window)
The department will then contact you, even if you are only able to write your thesis in the winter semester.
