TESACADEVA

Development and Implementation of an Evaluation Framework for Competency Development at the International Academy Transformation for Environment and Sustainability at the Federal Environment Agency (TESACADEVA)

Launched as a pilot project at the Federal Environment Agency in early 2022, the International Academy Transformation for Environment and Sustainability (TES Academy) offers interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary spaces for learning and collaboration for professional groups, where they can experience and help shape concrete processes of change in response to current challenges in sustainable development. Through scientifically grounded and practically proven formats, the TES Academy creates opportunities for collaborative learning and long-term cooperation, for building networks, and for further developing participants’ own potential to drive societal transformation toward a sustainable future. To ensure its effectiveness and the continuous, evidence-based development of its programs, the TES Academy has already conducted a preliminary study on evaluation research funded by the BMBF in collaboration with Freie Universität Berlin and the University of Vechta. Since fall 2023, the one-year evaluation project TESACADEVA has been underway, led by Prof. Dr. Mandy Singer-Brodowski and implemented by Dr. Laura Stanszus (FU Berlin). As part of the project, the researchers are developing, conducting, and analyzing a multi-method study to evaluate the TES Academy’s continuing education programs.
