AI for Science
From 8 to 11 June, the Helmholtz AI Conference (HAICON 2026) (external link, opens in a new window) made clear that artificial intelligence is not only everywhere — but that it is fundamentally reshaping how research questions are framed, how data is collected, and how evidence is built to support sound decision-making with real social benefit.
This was especially evident in our session, "Beyond Prediction: Can AI Make Treatment Decisions?", which sparked rich discussion on the trade-offs clinicians face when integrating AI into their decision-making processes.
