Regulatory and private enforcement on digital platforms was the subject of the lectures given by Professor Hartmann in Japan in November 2023. His research visit to Keio University in Tokyo, Ryukoku University in Kyoto and the Kyoto Bar Association took place as part of the DAAD project ‘Consumer Protection and Fair Competition in the Platform Economy: Towards Regulatory Cooperation between the EU and Japan’. Hartmann also spoke about legal education in Germany.
