Master

In the Master's degree programme in Democracy Studies, the Examination Regulations stipulate that you either take the specialisation module POL-MA-21 (advanced seminar, 10 CPs and exercise, 5 CPs) or courses as part of the additional modules I POL-MA-26 (advanced seminar, 10 CPs and exercise, 5 CPs) and II POL-MA-27 (advanced seminar, 10 CPs and exercise, 5 CPs) from the sub-area of political philosophy, theory and history of ideas, which you can combine individually with courses that do not come from the subject area you have chosen in the specialisation module. While both courses in the specialisation module must be from the same subject area, you put together the courses for the additional modules individually.
It is possible to write a Master's thesis (25 CPs) in the area of political philosophy, theory and history of ideas. To do this, you should also take your research seminar as part of the profile module POL-MA-28 (research seminar, 10 CPs and exercise 5 CPs) in the area of political philosophy, theory and history of ideas.
