The Bavarian Doctoral College for Political Theory was (external link, opens in a new window)founded in 2006 and, since then, has brought together doctoral candidates from various Bavarian chairs and professorships for the purpose of conducting joint research and working together under the academic supervision of the university lecturers overseeing the projects. The programme is designed to provide intensive training and excellent support for early-career researchers, facilitating structured supervision, networking and collaboration during the doctoral phase. Currently, doctoral candidates from Eichstätt, Erlangen, Passau and Regensburg are participating in the programme. The programme holds conferences lasting several days twice a year and also organises workshops and other academic events to explore shared research questions in greater depth.
