Gender-equitable language

Our aim is to express the equal treatment of women, men and people of the third gender (diverse) in communication and thus language.
To this end, guidelines and a flyer on the use of gender-equitable language at the University of Regensburg were developed and updated in 2024 under the direction of Prof. Dr Maria Thurmair (holder of the professorship "German as a foreign language philology" and equal opportunities officer for science and art at the Faculty of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures).
