Stay abroad

The Faculty of Physics supports study abroad programmes for its students. The Faculty recommends the first year of the Master's programme as a suitable time for a stay abroad. For students who are only aiming for a Bachelor's degree programme, the fifth semester is recommended. For the various teacher training programs, it is recommended to discuss a suitable period with Academic Advising.

If you have any questions about studying abroad as part of your physics degree programme, please contact John Lupton.

For student teachers, please refer to the central counselling service.

Co-operations

The Faculty of Physics maintains bilateral exchange programmes with universities abroad. A selection:

  • Ecole Normale Superieure, Paris
  • Université Paris Sud
  • Schuola Normale Superiore, Pisa
  • Trinity College, Dublin
  • Aalto University, Helsinki
  • Universidad Autonoma de Madrid
  • Université Joseph Fourier Grenoble

We maintain professional contacts with individual lecturers at these universities so that we can also work on smaller projects that could possibly be developed into a Master's thesis.
