Chair in Theological Social Ethics and Humanities

Theological social ethics (also known as Christian social ethics) addresses the question of what ought to be done with regard to society and in the light of Christian responsibility. In its reasoning, it combines biblical principles (e.g. love for one’s neighbour, justice) with perspectives drawn from philosophical ethics, social sciences and the humanities. It explores how Christian values can, in practical terms, help to shape a more just society.
