Chair of Moral Theology

What should I do? How do I want to live? Who do I want to be? Moral theology addresses these questions – which none of us can avoid – in its own way: it is directed at all beings endowed with freedom and reason, whilst not overlooking the hope offered by the Kingdom of God.

Moral theology applies specifically to those areas of life that demand decisions from us: sexuality and family, work and leisure, thought and research, prayer and celebration, conflict and reconciliation, illness and health, childbirth and death. There is also a wealth of expertise in other academic disciplines on all these matters. And this means that moral theology is always part of an interdisciplinary discourse.
