Good teaching is only possible with strong research: it thrives on rigorous fundamental work as well as engagement with current developments. We examine real estate as an asset class, ranging from direct investments to indirect vehicles such as open-ended funds, real estate corporations, and REITs. Additional research focuses include the financing of real estate investments and their securitization, as well as housing policy, particularly rent indices.
