Working with Supervisors and Colleagues
In this interactive workshop, you will develop a deeper understanding of how communication with line managers and colleagues works in Germany, which unspoken rules may come into play, and what is important, for example, when engaging in small talk in a professional context. Another key focus is on working in intercultural teams. You will learn how culture and individual perceptions influence communication, how prejudices and misunderstandings can arise, and what helps to foster mutual understanding. Using typical situations from everyday working life, joint reflection and a variety of exercises, you will explore different courses of action and develop strategies to foster constructive teamwork and deal confidently with any conflicts that may arise.
Participants must have at least a B1 level of German.
Registration is open for both University and OTH students.
