Last Wednesday, a small group of visiting researchers set off on foot. Their route took them across open fields, through woodland, and along the banks of the Danube. They made their way purposefully over hill and dale, with the fresh breeze and warm sunshine making for pleasant companions along the way.
Engaged in lively conversation and pausing for the occasional rest, the time seemed to fly by. The path varied along the way – sometimes narrow, sometimes wider, sometimes rocky and sometimes sloping – but eventually led the group to their well-deserved destination: a local Biergarten.
There, they rounded off the mild summer evening with good food, drinks, and pleasant company, already knowing that it would not be long before they met up again.
