Professorship for Digital Humanities

The Digital Humanities at the University of Regensburg are headed by Junior Professor Dr Mareike Schumacher. In research and teaching, we combine digital methods with issues in the humanities and cultural studies. The aim is to make digital technologies usable for analysing, processing and communicating cultural and historical materials.
Our projects include digital text analysis, digital editions, the annotation and modelling of research data in the humanities, the visualisation and exploration of complex data sets, gender studies, the preparation and sustainable provision of research data, as well as critical reflection on digital methods in the humanities.
