I am a qualified secondary school teacher (first and second State Examination) for Spanish, French and German as a foreign and second language as well as a multilingualism counsellor. I am currently doing my doctorate at the interface of linguistics, educational sciences and foreign language didactics at the Department of Romance Languages and the LEAD Graduate School & Research Network at the University of Tübingen. My doctoral project is supervised by Prof. Dr Evelyn Wiesinger, Prof. Dr Johanna Wolf and Prof. Dr Detmar Meurers and is funded by a scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation.

In my interdisciplinary doctoral project Digital Multilingual Pedagogical Construction Grammar (DigiMultiPedCon), I am investigating the extent to which the multilingual comparison of constructions in tertiary language acquisition is conducive to learning. To this end, I conducted a randomised field study (RCT) in 16 Spanish classes (first year, third foreign language) in Baden-Württemberg to investigate the acquisition of the construction [movement verb + a/de + noun] by multilingual learners in a digitally supported learning setting.

My research is empirically oriented and includes corpus linguistics analyses of web-based corpora and learner corpora, ethnographic methods (e.g. language portraits) and randomised field studies in a school context. In terms of content, I am particularly interested in linguistic structures on the lexico-grammatical continuum and their mediation in second and third language acquisition. Other interests include digitally supported internal differentiation through adaptive learning and language attitudes towards romance languages in multilingual contexts (e.g. French in sub-Saharan Africa).

I am particularly interested in the mutual transfer of knowledge between university and school practice, which is reflected in transfer projects such as a podcast seminar or teacher training programmes.
