The 31st Symposium on “Current Issues in Railway Law” took place on
7 and 8 October 2025 in Berlin. The event was organised by the Federal Network Agency in Bonn in cooperation with the Chair of Public Law and European Law at the University of Würzburg – Research Centre for Infrastructure Law – (Prof. Dr Markus Ludwigs) and the Chair of Public Law, Real Estate Law, Infrastructure Law and Information Law at the University of Regensburg (Prof. Dr Jürgen Kühling).

Symposium “Current Issues in Railway Law XXI”
on 23 and 24 September 2015 in Regensburg

The main focus of the event was on the future of railway regulation, as well as the important issue of ‘noise’ and planning law issues. The renowned competition economist Prof. Justus Haucap (former Chairman of the Monopolies Commission) was invited as the keynote speaker. This was followed by legal analyses featuring presentations by the organisers and other recognised experts in railway law.
