Enquiries regarding PhD programmes

I welcome PhD applications, as they broaden the Chair’s academic scope. However, due to the large number of applications, I must make a selection in order to meet the requirement of providing thorough supervision for research projects. A key factor is, in particular, how the project fits in with the Chair’s main areas of research. I also require applicants to have achieved at least a ‘fully satisfactory’ grade in their final examination. I can only consider applications from external candidates in exceptional circumstances, particularly where there is evidence of qualified expertise in social law. Please understand that, as a matter of principle, I am unable to respond to enquiries that do not meet these requirements.

Your enquiry (preferably in electronic form only) should include your academic background to date, including details of your academic achievements, as well as a brief outline of your proposed research topic.
