In the ‘Criminal Trial Simulation’ conversation exercise, real criminal cases are practised in simulated court hearings. However, unlike in a moot court, the cases are not treated as a competition before a jury. Instead, students conduct the proceedings independently in the roles of prosecutor, defence counsel and judge, and subsequently analyse them together with the lecturers from the perspectives of criminal procedure and rhetoric.
