Cross-programme information
The Institute of Political Science offers a Bachelor's degree programme in Political Science (B.A. - Bachelor of Arts) and a Master's degree programme in Democracy Studies (M.A. - Master of Arts). The Bachelor's programme (six semesters) guarantees a sound and broad-based basic education in the subject. Individual specialisations can also be set in the advanced module. The Master's degree programme (four semesters) builds on this foundation and serves to provide targeted specialist and methodological specialisation. With both degree programmes, the Institute guarantees a broad-based, complete education in political science.

Under the heading Studies you will find all further information about the degree programme and the courses on offer, as well as the examination and study regulations and much more.
Prospective students have the opportunity to attend a political science student information and advice unit during the lecture-free period before the general introductory lecture one week before the start of the semester.
