Welcome to the Physics Didactics website!
In physics didactics, we research how physics knowledge can be communicated in an understandable way and learnt sustainably. We investigate how learners build up physics concepts, which learning environments support them in doing so and how lessons can be designed innovatively. At the University of Regensburg, we combine this research with the most practical training possible for future physics teachers. Our goals are to further develop physics teaching in a scientifically sound way, to accompany and support our students on their way through their studies and to prepare them in the best possible way for their future work as physics teachers.
In addition to their own research work, many members of our team also have teaching experience as former teachers. Empirical research and practical orientation thus flow directly into teaching: We qualify future physics teachers to design contemporary, evidence-based and at the same time practical physics lessons.
