The Chair focuses on German and European company law, with particular emphasis on banking and capital markets law – including compliance in capital markets law – and on company law, including European company law.
Other key areas include arbitration law, contract law and European private law.
In all the areas mentioned, particular attention is paid to tracing current issues back to the fundamentals of private law, as well as to the methods of legal reasoning in both the national and European legal contexts.
