They are obliged to give a presentation on their doctoral research project at one of these colloquia. Studying abroad in Brno, Czech Republic
Erasmus+
A study period at a partner university can broaden your horizons. You can find general information on this on the faculty website (external link, opens in a new window) and at the International Office.
Brno (formerly Brünn) in the Czech Republic is not far away. You can find out what you need to do to spend one or two exciting semesters there on the website of our partner university, Masaryk University (external link, opens in a new window), here. You do not necessarily need to know Czech – which you can learn in Brno (external link, opens in a new window) – as Masaryk University also offers Erasmus+ students a wide range of courses taught in English (external link, opens in a new window).
This applies in particular to the Faculty of Law (external link, opens in a new window), whose course programme you can find here (external link, opens in a new window). Numerous courses, ranging from European and international law to intellectual property law and competition law, can also be credited towards your degree in Germany.
Information on the application process in Brno can be found via this link (external link, opens in a new window). According to this, the application deadline for the spring term is 15 November of the previous year and for the autumn term 15 July; a B2 level of English is required, as well as a nomination from our faculty. To arrange this, please contact Prof. Fritzsche in good time.
Masaryk University also offers access to internship placements. You can find information on this under ‘Internships (external link, opens in a new window)’.
