Background:

The  Young Academy of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BAdW) supports outstanding early-career researchers in the postdoctoral phase in Bavaria who aspire to leading positions in their respective disciplines. During their funding period, fellows become associate members of the Academy, enriching academic life through their activities, and benefit from the BAdW's exceptional network. They actively contribute to committees and working groups and developing interdisciplinary events as well as new research initiatives, both among themselves and in collaborationwith full members of the Academy.

The Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities and the Young Academy welcome all interested individuals to their numerous events. These provide opportunities to learn about a wide range of cutting-edge research topicsand to engage in dialogue with members of the Academy and the Young Academy, as well as with other leading scholars.
