The Master's programme is an advanced course of study in which scientific content and methods can be deepened and specialisations can be set. Requirements for this are the degree of an undergraduate Bachelor's programme or a comparable first professionally qualifying university degree. In addition, certain content is often specified as an aptitude requirement. The detailed provisions are set out in the respective Examination Regulations. A completed Master's degree entitles you to a doctorate.

Graduates of the Master's degree programme in Computer Science have received an excellent academic education - and have tailored it to their personal interests. Specialised knowledge in central and application-related areas of computer scientists was deepened and own scientific projects on current research topics were carried out.

Structure of the Program

The programme is divided into
- a compulsory area (incl. Master's thesis) (at least 60 ECTS),
- the "Core Computer Science" constrained elective courses (at least 18 ECTS), and
- the constrained elective courses "Focus" (specialisation) (at least 42 ECTS).

Study Plans
Full-time programme: 120 ECTS in four semesters, i.e. approx. 30 ECTS per semester.
Part-time programme: 120 ECTS in eight semesters, i.e. approx. 15 - 20 ECTS per semester.
