The Bavarian teacher training programme is divided into an academic course of study at the university, which ends with the first state examination, and a two-year traineeship, which concludes with the second state examination. The university teaching degree programme for grammar schools consists of
- two teaching subjects
- the education programme and
- the Internships.
The Russian teaching degree programme for grammar schools offers a comprehensive examination of language, literature and culture. The focus is on the pedagogically responsible use of linguistic and cultural resources that are to be taught to future pupils. The Russian teacher training programme examines how language skills - including vocabulary, grammar, communication and text comprehension - as well as cultural and regional studies content can be used in a targeted manner in the classroom to promote sustainable learning processes. In addition, the programme deals with didactic methods that enable future teachers to design Russian lessons that are efficient, motivating and effective for learning.

Structure of the Program

When studying for a teaching degree at a grammar school, you will study two subjects and education (school education, general pedagogy and psychology). You will learn how to apply your theoretical knowledge in everyday school life through various internships during your studies.

Two subjects are combined in the teaching degree programme for grammar schools. In addition, the degree program is supplemented by the education programme. This results in the following combination of subjects:

The teacher training programme for the teaching subject Russian can only be combined with the teaching subject English.
Study Plan
The degree programme in Russian as a foreign and heritage language comprises the areas of Russian as a foreign and heritage language, linguistics, literature and cultural studies as well as didactics.
Module Overview
There are 9 modules in total. Basic qualifications are taught in the core modules, which are expanded and consolidated in the specialisation modules. The foreign language didactics module focuses specifically on skills and knowledge of lesson design and aspects of teaching and learning the Russian language (as a foreign and heritage language).
There is a module description for each module, which provides students with information about the course, content, qualitative and quantitative requirements and the integration of the module into the overall concept of the degree program.
In addition, a free elective courses in is provided for all students. Here, students can choose individual courses to deepen their language skills, gain additional qualifications and much more.
Study programme
The duration of the degree programme depends on the individual course of study. The Standard Period of Study, i.e. the time in which the intended study programme can ideally be completed, is 9 semesters. The actual duration of the programme may differ from this. It is limited by the examination deadlines, which are regulated in the Examination Regulations.

Internationalization
The most favourable time for a stay abroad is after completing the core modules. Allow approximately one year for the organisation and application. Numerous internship opportunities can be organised via the partner universities.
