Music at the University of Regensburg
Research and teaching are the cornerstones of our university, but in addition to academic excellence and creativity, we at the Regensburg campus are also concerned about our students' sense of responsibility, interdisciplinarity, communication and cooperation skills.
We see making music together as a wonderful opportunity to acquire and train all of these key skills.
That is why the promotion of student music ensembles is an important concern of the University of Regensburg.
With three orchestras, two big bands, a large university choir and a chamber choir, a baroque ensemble, a string quartet, jazz combos, wind ensembles and numerous other groups, Regensburg has a musical campus that is unique in the Bavarian university landscape.
You don't have to be studying music to take part in one of the musical ensembles. Students from all faculties are welcome.
Thanks to the commitment of the students, between seven and twelve music evenings per semester can be offered at favourable conditions.
In our concert programme (external link, opens in a new window) you will find all the concerts that the university is organising in the near future.
