On 8 July 2026, the Forum at the University of Regensburg will be transformed into an open-air stage: with its Summer Edition, Campus Sound is bringing that genuine festival atmosphere straight to the campus!
The STWNO offers you a glimpse into the creative diversity of the student music scene on the Regensburg campus. For the first time, Campus Sound will also take place in the open air, creating a special atmosphere that blends university life, summer and live music. As well as music and a great atmosphere, there’ll be plenty of food on offer: the Pizzawerk in the Milchbar will stay open that evening, serving freshly baked pizzas to keep the good vibes going.
As in previous years, Campus Sound will once again put student artists and bands in the spotlight. From singer-songwriters to jazz and techno, right through to well-known cover versions, you’ll be treated to a broad musical spectrum that showcases just how diverse and vibrant the music scene on the Regensburg campus is. Visitors will have the chance to discover new talent, find inspiration and engage directly with the musicians.
In a relaxed, summery open-air atmosphere, Campus Sound invites you to experience music together, enjoy the summer and do so right in the midst of your everyday student life.
Who’s performing?
mierra
Indie singer-songwriter mierra, who writes music straight from the heart and has been sharing it with live audiences since 2024. Her songs capture the feelings we often keep to ourselves and transform them into melodies and lyrics that feel honest and genuine. With her authentic sound, she creates a space where listeners feel understood and can connect with their own emotions. For everyone who loves to lose themselves in melodies and find themselves reflected in song lyrics.
ahead
The cover band ahead was formed in 2019. They have already gained stage experience through performances in bars and at other events, as well as at concerts they have organised themselves. The band’s line-up has changed several times, but the three singers – Laura, Evelyne and Gaby – have stayed together to this day, driven by their passion for singing. Last year, Johannes, the guitarist, joined the band, completing the line-up of ahead. Unfortunately, Johannes is unable to attend Campus Sound, so, as a one-off, they’ll be using backing tracks to support the vocals.
club-mische
Drum & bass, techno and hip-hop meet elements of improvised music. Instrumental energy meets electronics. The result: driving beats, flowing melodies and heavy basslines.
This is the band club-mische, whom many will already know from various events at the University of Regensburg. The band focuses on creating a rousing sound that bridges club culture and the live band experience, bringing together fans of a wide variety of genres and encouraging them to listen and dance. The five musicians integrate their own compositions as well as covers and samples into their sonic universe, giving free rein to their musical imagination.
The band consists of Julius Dickel (electric guitar), Samuel Pflanzelt (saxophone), Simon Neureuter (keys, synth), Elias Schmauß (electric bass) and Luca Neureuter (drums, electronics).
They’ll be the last to take to the stage as headliners at this year’s Open-Air Campus Sound.
Come along, enjoy the summery atmosphere and escape the stresses of everyday university life for a little while with some great live music and a delicious slice of pizza from our Pizzawerk.
